After a year and a half of constant pain from headaches and dozens of tests, cortisone shots in my neck every two weeks, and lots of heavy medication, I resolved myself to not have a life outside of my bed. After a month of three weekly appointments, I could feel the difference. I was slowly starting to get my life back .......Thank you! Dr. Morris and EVERYONE in the office for everything you have done to help me. I am in debt to you all forever! --Sandra Stephens 19-year old college student who was forsed to "drop out of life" due to her headaches. Now she's living again without drugs or injections. Click Here To See Letters From Other Patients Headache research has shown that most HEADACHES originate in the neck. Specifically, the most common areas in the neck where they come from are:
The best treatment for most headaches is to correct the problem in the neck. No pill or injection will ever do that. In fact, medicine often treats the symptoms while ignoring the cause and many of you have already experienced the side effects of the medication (liver, stomach neurological problems). Most of the time, headache sufferers are mistreated because the structural problem is never corrected. It's surprising to most headache sufferers that medical specialists have not been trained in evaluating the structure of the cervical spine as it relates to headaches. We've learned from countless headache patients over the last 27 years, that receiving years of drugs and injection often left them sicker, more depressed and less hopefull about ever finally having a life without headaches. After they received structural treatment at our office, the pain left and they never understood why this treatment wasn't used before the drugs and injections. Chiropractic care is not the best choice for all headaches. In fact, if you have these symptoms and signs, you should see a medical specialist:
But if your headaches are associated with neck tightness or pulsation and pain that is aggravated with stress or certain neck positions--then our office offers you the correct and best treatment. In chronic headaches, triggers such as diet, allergies, chemical sensitivities and drug and medication usage have to be assessed. Not only do our doctors CORRECT the structural causes of your headaches, but meticulously work with you to stop the causative triggers. Some headaches are a combination of genetic factors, hormonal imbalances and structural faults (e.g. Migraines and Cluster headaches). They require a team of doctors working together to finally get to the bottom of these difficult headaches. We work with a team of doctors including internists, neurologists, acupuncturists, etc.. On your first visit, we'll tell you exactly what you can expect and often start relieving your pain that day. |

Muscular imbalances or scaring from poor posture or injury can lead to stress related headaches. The nerves that go over the top of your head (2)leave between the skull (1) and the upper spine. When the upper neck vertebrae do not have the proper alignment or movement patterns, the nerves are irritated and cause chronic and reoccuring headaches that start at the base of the skull. The vertebral artery(5) can become compressed and even spasm due to misalignment of the cervical spine (3) and lead to pulsating headaches and migraine-type symptoms.
